I entered several pictures for the “Viewpoints 16×20″ Photography Show that Syracuse Photographers Association is holding in November. Three of my photos will be on display at the Westcott Community Center starting November 13th. I’m not sure how long the show runs, but, I’ll share those details when I get them.

For the showing, the picture frames need to be 16×20 (hence the name of the show), black, and have a white mat (if matting is used. My prints are going to be 12×18 meaning I’ll probably need to cut my own mats :)

Here are the accepted photos:

Onondaga Lake at Sunset
This will be printed on metallic paper. I hadn’t heard of or seen it before so, I figured I’d give it a shot. If I don’t like the way it looks, I have time to get another print :)

Erie Canal Aqueduct
I’m having this printed on matte paper

Snake River Wyoming, from Signal Mountain
This will be printed on matte paper also.

I’m excited and a bit nervous at having my pictures on display at a photo show. Seeing people react and hearing there opinions in the flesh, will be better feedback than comments or thumbs up/down on the internet.

Perhaps this will lead to my own showing, or being dragged out by my camera strap and hung by my tripod. Either way, it’ll be a learning experience :)
