After messing around for a few days, I’ve come up with a new logo for the header images. I’m going to refrain from creating more until I figure if I really like the new logo. In the past few days I’d create a new logo and apply it to 25 headers, just for find out it didn’t really look good at full size, or it didn’t work at all if the browser windows was the wrong size.

Let’s look at the Headerlution so far:

Original Header when I published the site

Original Header when I published the site

#rd generation Header...the Second Gen seems to gone missng (the missing like of sorts :) )

3rd generation Header...the Second Gen seems to gone missing (the missing link of sorts :) )

4th Gen

5th Gen

I’m trying to balance readability of the logo and view-ability of the background picture. It’s tough because I want you to know where you are and not obscure the pictures I took, edited then cropped for yer viewing pleasure :)

This is one of those processes, like writing and photo editing, that’s never done.  At some point you have to stop, call it done and move on…

Even now I’m thinking I could reduce the text size on the title, so the tag line ends under the ‘a’.   Reducing the whole logo take only up 1/4 to 1/3 of the banner… It’ll have to wait tho.  There are paving stones to remove from the trunk of the car, pictures of foliage to be taken and a first meal to be eaten :)

Tonight when I get home, I’ll change the logo…
